# smol cloud pricing

Pay for what you use: a base fee for every hour a machine is running, plus the
CPU, memory, disk and egress the workload actually consumes. Stopped machines pay
only for held disk. New accounts get $100.00 of credit once, at sign-up.
The local engine, smolvm, is open source and free.

## Rates

## Plans

Every plan bills the rates above. A plan buys limits and support, never a
different price per unit, and a monthly fee is added on top of usage.

A machine larger than your plan allows is refused at create time with the limit
in the reply, so nothing is charged for it. Change plan any time from
